Soon after those words left my client’s lips, our imaginations took us time traveling. My client communed with Jim Morrison of The Doors and Jimi Hendrix—idols from her youth. She learned that the inspiration they sparked in her was mutual; that her choice to at last claim her identity as a singer echoed back in time, energizing those rock legends to create their masterpieces.
From that co-imagination journey, Claim Your Inheritance was born. This piece is a celebration of our birthright: to be in the fullest expression of our voices. Unleashing our authentic sound (in song, debate, storytelling, etc.) shatters the conditioned darkness that hides us while honoring lineages before us.
